Mangrove Sunrise

A solitary grey mangrove, Avicennia marina, stands with its toes in the water at high tide as the rising sun touches its foliage with gentle fingers of light. Moreton Bay.
These trees have always captivated my imagination, one foot in the sea and the other on the land.

I acknowledge that this photo was taken on the traditional lands of the Yuggera people, and pay my respects to Elders both past, present and future, and their traditions of respect and sustainability for these lands.
