I’ve just arrived in Chongqing, one of China’s most important cities on the Yangtze River. I’m here to meet Wensheng, a self-made, small time shipping tycoon. Wensheng has a story of piracy, Chinese style to tell me about. Two of his ships are in another city, Laizhou, and some other people, with no other claim to his vessels than they currently have them under lock and key, are demanding money for their return.
