Endangered Images

I worked for many years as a press-commercial-underwater photographer in locations as exotic as Europe, the Seychelles and mainland China. Some years ago, I returned to Australia. On my first morning back in the country, I was woken at 6:00-ish in the morning by an absolute cacophony. A roaring, screeching, chattering, whistling deafening noise - BIRDS! I had lived in many places but had never heard the like of this before (except, obviously, before I had left Australia, when my young ears were deaf to the sounds). It struck me that in a world where destruction of natural spaces has become business as usual, Australia is home to some of the last remaining stretches of wilderness on the global map. These are my efforts to capture and document that beauty.
