Description
Standing with its feet in the incoming tide, this mangrove wades through the swirling waves of the incoming tide. A little known but important fact is that mangroves form the nurseries for coral reef fish – wherever there are coral reefs offshore, you’ll find mangroves lining the coast.
I acknowledge that this photo was taken on the traditional lands of the Giya people, and pay my respect to Elders both past, present and future, and their tradition of respect and sustainability for these lands.
