Looking out from the Great Ocean Road. Did you know that the 230+ km long Great Ocean Road was built by WWI veterans as a kind of practical memorial to those lost in the Great War? The road links what where then isolated townships along the rugged southern coast of Victoria? Did you also know that this area is home to one of the remaining dwindling koala populations in the country?
I acknowledge that this photo was taken on the traditional lands of the Gunditjmara people, and pay my respect to Elders both past, present and future, and their traditions of respect and sustainability for these lands.
