The Performance Theatre is a bit of a strange name. This event was a gathering of particularly money-minded people from around the world in Beijing. They hired out the Great Hall of the People and Diaoyutai (the place where Mao met Nixon) and talked for three days about wealth and did a lot of mutual back-patting. The official topic of the convention was “Sustainability”, but there was very little discussion of this in the usually accepted sense.
